Charity & Community

As important as our commitment to be conscious of our social and environmental responsibilities, we believe that we need to consider how running our business impacts on the local community and environment.

Supporting our community and charities

We try to achieve this by working with charities that support the local communities in which we operate. We have fostered and are truly proud of our partnerships with charities and local community clubs. We encourage and support participation in a range of fundraising activities such as sales and sponsored events.

We proudly support or subscribe to:

Francis House Children’s Hospice

Francis House are an amazing charity who provide appropriate respite and end of life care for children and young people with life limiting illness and the necessary support and short term care for their families. Their work helps families when they need it most.

The Conveyancing Foundation

The Conveyancing Foundation is a registered not for profit charity, which has been established by conveyancers to help raise awareness and funds for charity. We offer every client the opportunity to win £500 by entering a prize draw, the prize draw makes a 90% donation to charity.

AFC Urmston Meadowside

AFC Urmston Meadowside (“Meds”) is a FA Charter Standard Community Club which is the highest accolade for grassroots football clubs. Meds was one of the first Clubs in Greater Manchester to achieve this FA status. Meds have boys, girls, mens and ladies teams. Founded in 1977 Meds is old enough that one of our Directors played for them and each year we provide sponsorship to one of their fantastic teams.

Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter

We are proud subscribers to the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter and strive for our workplace to be a place where our people are fairly compensated, have job security, flexibility to work around the complexities of modern life, and is an environment where health and wellbeing thrive.

At JP Goldman we understand that it is our responsibility to promote an environmentally friendly workplace.

The day to day activities of any business can have a detrimental impact on the environment and this is something we aim to reduce and prevent.

We currently do the following:

  • Wherever possible, we recycle old IT equipment.
  • All none confidential waste and carboard is recycled at a recycling center.
  • We have ensured any third parties destroying our confidential waste does so in an environmentally friendly manner.
  • Wherever possible, we use teleconferencing and video conferencing facilities for meetings off site.

There is always more to be done and we would like to move towards becoming a paperless business and have started this journey by allowing e-signatures and document transfer via our app
